INTERVIEW FOR TEMPORARY POSITIONS OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW UNDER THE ARI PROJECTS IN THE GENETICS GROUP OF PLANT SCIENCES DIVISION
1) ARI Project – 'Marker assisted selection for seedlessness in table grape breeding' (GEN-14, period up to 13.10.2015)
2) ARI Project – 'Characterization of GA sensitive dwarf durums at molecular level’ (GEN-15, period up to 13.10.2015) [Post Code: JRF/GEN-14 & 15]

4. Qualifications
JRF under GEN- 14 -
Essential: (i) 1st class M.Sc. in Botany/
Biotechnology/ Agriculture/ Horticulture/Agricultural Biotechnology and (ii) clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET for JRF.
Desirable: Experience in molecular markers.
JRF under GEN- 15- Essential: i) 1st Class M.Sc. in Agriculture/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ and ii) clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET
Desirable: Experience in molecular biology.
5. Monthly stipend JRF- Rs.12000/- (fixed)+HRA
6. Age limit JRF-28 years (relaxation of 3 years for OBC & 5 years for SC/ST
& female candidates).
7. Last date for receipt of application 09.12.2013 up to 17.30 hrs.
8. Display the short list of candidates for interview
Will be displayed on Institute website by 12.12.2013 and/ or, candidates will be informed through e-mail.
9. Date & time of Int. 17.12.2013 at 10.00 a.m.
Note: No T.A. is admissible for attending interview and selected candidate will have no right of appointment against any ARI or funding agency’s post.
In case of non-availability of qualified JRF, Candidates with 1st class M.Sc. in the subjects mentioned above may be considered for lower position of Research Student on a monthly stipend @ Rs.11000/- (fixed) p.m. as per ARI rules.
Candidates fulfilling above conditions may apply in the prescribed format available on the Institute’s website http://www.aripune.org., along with attested copies of qualifications, certificates, Passport size photograph, caste certificate issued by competent authority (for reserved category) and application fee of Rs.50/-, payable by Demand Draft only in favor of Agharkar Research Institute, Pune, up to 09.12.2013. Candidates are requested to mention their name and advertisement no. on the back side of DD. The prescribed essential qualifications are bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the candidate to be called for interview. In case number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
