Walk-in-Interview for the selection of Junior Research Fellow (three post) and Technical Assistant (one post) on contractual basis under the following projects will be held on 05.02.2015 (Thursday) and 06.02.2015 (Friday) at 11.00 AM. The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

1. Name of the Project : DBT – QUT (Component III) project entitled “Bio fortification and development of disease resistance in banana”
Name of the Post : Junior Research Fellow
Duration of the Project : Up to March 2016.
Number of Post : One
Fellowship : Rs.16,000.00 (Consolidated) (as per DBT guidelines)
Essential Qualification : First class in M.Sc. (Horticulture / Botany / Life Sciences / Plant Biotechnology / Agricultural Biotechnology).
Desirable : Experience in plant tissue culture, working experience with suspension culture, genetic transformation, molecular techniques like southern, northern, Bioinformatics, etc.

Duration of the Project : Up to March 2016.

Fellowship : Rs.8,000.00 (Consolidated) (as per DBT guidelines)
Essential Qualification : First class in M.Sc. (Botany) / M.Sc. (Life Sciences) / Plant Biotechnology / Agricultural Biotechnology) / M.Sc. (Hort.) with Biotechnology specialization.
Desirable : Experience in plant tissue culture, Cell suspension culture, molecular biology techniques, etc. Project implementation is related to Kolli Hills and selected candidates should be prepared to travel to Kolli Hills often.

3. Name of the Project : BARC project entitled “Development of non-chimeral mutants with durable resistance to Fusarium Wilt in Rasthali (AAB) through induced mutagenesis”.
Name of the post : Junior Research Fellow
Duration of the Project : Three years.
Number of Post : One Fellowship : Rs.16,000.00 (Consolidated) per month for first two years (as per BARC guidelines) Rs.18,000.00 (Consolidated) per month for the third year
Essential Qualification : First class in M.Sc. (Horticulture) / Agriculture) / Biotechnology. Desirable : Experience in banana tissue culture.

Fellowship : Rs.12000.00 + HRA @20% per month for first two years (as per DBT guidelines) Rs.14000.00 + HRA @20% per month for third year as SRF
Essential Qualification : First class in M.Sc. (Agri.)/ M.Phil or Ph.D. in Life Sciences / Pathology / Biotechnology.
Desirable : Experience in molecular biology and good understanding of bioinformatics tools.
