Identification of indicator species for special conservation | JNTBGRI Project Fellow Vacancy

A walk-in interview will be conducted to fill the following post for a project titled “Identification of indicator species for special conservation efforts in high range mountain landscapes of the Western Ghats” funded by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Duration: One year

Qualification: First Class MSc in Zoology/Wildlife Biology/Forestry/Environmental Science.

Experience: Minimum one year field research experience in tropical forests and good physique to conduct year round fieldwork in high range mountain landscapes. Those who have working experience in advanced conservation tools like identification of surrogate species and good identification skills of tropical fauna and flora will be given preference.

Age: Below 30 years as on 01.01.2015. Age relaxation will be given to candidates belonging to scheduled caste/scheduled tribe and other backward communities as per government rules.

Fellowship: 25,000 per/month (consolidated).
