Essential: Ph.D. in any branch of life science or equivalent degree or having three years of research experience after MVSc/MPharm/ME/MTech.
Desirable: Experience with fly genetics, MARCM, S2 cell culture, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, neurobehavior, confocal microsopy, imaging, biochemical and molecular biology techniques. Candidate should be well trained to prepare manuscripts and write grants. Additional knowledge in bioinformatics tools is desirable.

Applications in the prescribed format* duly filled in along with attested copies of all relevant certificates showing date of birth, qualifications (SSC onwards), experience, details of the exam passed, caste status and other necessary documents should reach to The Director, National Centre For Cell Science, NCCS Complex, S. P. Pune University Campus, Post: Ganeshkhind, Pune – 411 007, Maharashtra, India on or before 24.04.2015. The A4 size envelope containing the application must be superscribed in bold letters on the top as under: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF PROJECT- …………”.
Applications received after the due date and / or without the copies of the required certificates/documents will not be considered. Incomplete applications will be strictly rejected. Candidates must be filled up latest prescribed application form only which is available on our institute website under career tab. Mere fulfilling the minimum prescribed qualifications and experience will not vest any right in a candidate for calling for interview. The Centre reserves the right to call for interview only those candidates who in its opinion are likely to be suitable. However, no any correspondence will be entertained in this regard. SC/ST/OBC candidates must produce proof of their caste certificate from appropriate authority. In addition, OBC candidates must also produce latest/valid non-creamy layer certificate in the prescribed form for claiming the reservation benefits. 5% Marks relaxation will be given to SC/ST candidates i.e. minimum of 50 % marks. The Director, NCCS reserves the right to enhance / reduce the number of posts and also cancel the recruitment process. Candidates should specifically note that due to postal delay applications will not be entertained by this institute after due date and no correspondence will be made in this regard. Candidates are required to mention the post preference as per their interest and research area in the prescribed application form. Fellowship/Emoluments: For JRF Position, Selected candidates who have qualified NET/GATE/BET with valid fellowship/award will be paid monthly emoluments of Rs. 16,000/- p.m. + HRA for 1st & 2nd year, Rs. 18,000/- p.m. + HRA for 3rd year depending on the project sanction order. Candidates, who have LS qualifications will be paid monthly emoluments of Rs.12, 000/- p.m. + HRA for 1st & 2nd Year, Rs. 14,000/- + HRA for 3rd year depending on the project sanction order. For RA Position, Candidates who are yet to be awarded the Ph.D. degree, if selected, will be paid Rs. 18,000/- pm + HRA till the award of the degree. Emoluments to the research personnel engaged under project (06-JRF& 08-JRF) will be made in accordance with the DST O.M. No. A.20020/1197-IFD dated 31.03.2010 and Emoluments to the research personnel engaged under project (07-JRF & 09-JRF) will be made in accordance with the DST O.M. No, SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21.10.2014. Candidates should mention title of the thesis, list of publications with full references in the application form. List of shortlisted candidates called for interview will be published on our institute website on or after 30/04/2015. Upper age limit will be considered as on closing date of receipt of application. Age relaxation of 5 years in case of SC/ST/Women/PH candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates will be given as per Government of India rules. Reservation as per Govt. of India norms will be followed. No TA will be paid for attending the interview.
