Applications are invited for the post of Scientist [01 post] to work at the sophisticated state-of the-art Plant Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering (MB&GE) laboratory of Agriculture Division. The Institute would like to appoint one person in the position of Scientist in MB&GE on a full-time basis for a period of three years or end of the project on contract basis in DBT-BCIL sponsored NCS-TCP project. This challenging position offers opportunities to work in the innovative areas of Biotechnology.

Compensation (per month): Rs.35,000/- per month consolidated.
Starting Emolument: Approximate Rs.4,20,000/- per annum
Candidate Profile: Qualification & Experience : The candidate should be a highly motivated research scientist to lead the NCS-TCP activities. The candidate should have minimum First Class M. Sc. in Biotechnology/ Agril. Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Virology/ Plant Pathology with minimum of 3 years research experience in Molecular Biology after M. Sc. He/she will be responsible for Genetic Fidelity and Virus Indexing of various crops and submission of reports to customer in stipulated time.
Work Period: Initially for a period of 3 years or till end of the project. However, the position may be continued if the performance is excellent to meet the customer’s expectations.
Compensation: Consolidated Rs.35,000/- per month and 10% annual increment in subsequent years.

Applications are invited for the post of Technical Assistant [02 posts] to work at the sophisticated state-of the-art Plant Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering (MB&GE) laboratory of Agriculture Division.
Name of the Post: TECHNICAL ASSISTANT - [02 posts]

Compensation (per month) Rs.12,000/- per month consolidated.
Starting Emolument: Approximate Rs.1,44,000/- per annum
Candidate Profile: Qualification & Experience : M. Sc. In Biotechnology/ Agril. Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Virology/ Plant Pathology from any reputed University. Fresher are eligible to apply. Candidate should have to work on genetic fidelity and virus indexing of different crops. Candidate will have to work right from receiving samples, DNA/RNA isolation and analysis by PCT for Genetic Fidelity and by ELISA for Virus indexing and recording the data. However, preference will be given to those having experience in molecular works done in suitable area supported by thesis/ research publications.
