Interview for JRF position in the project ‘Shallow water benthic communities and food-web dynamics: a case for Kakinada Bay and coastal Andhra Pradesh’
As part of Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Govt of India funded project ‘Shallow water benthic communities and food-web dynamics: a case for Kakinada Bay and coastal Andhra Pradesh ', a position of Junior Research Fellow is open in the Integrative Taxonomy and Microbial Ecology Research Group, Department of Biological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata [IISERK]. The project aims to understand the roles of microphytobenthos in marine food-web dynamics and nutrient cycling in coastal Andhra Pradesh based on microscopy, culture based and molecular biological approaches.
Qualifications:
Candidates with M.Sc. in Botany/Marine Science/Microbiology/ and having some exposure in algal taxonomy as well as willing to undertake rigorous field work can apply electronically by sending a copy of their CV along with motivation letter to pbhadury@iiserkol.ac.in. Fellowship will be as per MoES guidelines. The position will be initially for a period of one year.
