Walk in Interview 

Applications are invited for purely project based temporary positions under In-house & ICSSR sponsored projects. Candidates having appropriate qualifications in relevant subject/specialization with consistently good academic record and experience may apply. 

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Junior Project Fellow (JPF) (01) @ Rs. 16,000 + H.R.A (For non NET qualified) & @ Rs. 25000 +H.R.A (for NET qualified) 

Post Graduate with first class in any subjects :- Tourism Studies (M.A), Sociology, Botany, Environmental Sciences Forestry and MSW Preference will be given to the candidates having experience of working in carrying capacity assessment of pilgrimage, eco-tourism /nature tourism in the Himalayan mountains. 

Working knowledge of computer is desirable. 

In-house Project:- “Reinventing pilgrimage potential for tourism development in the sacred landscape of Garhwal Himalaya” 

2. Junior Project Fellow (01) (Rs. 16,000/- fixed) 

First class M.Sc in Botany, Forestry, Environmental Sciences Sociology and MSW 

Working experience on forest based livelihood options in disaster affected rural landscape and knowledge of computer is desirable 

ICSSR sponsored project- ''Identification of land and bioresources based potential options for livelihood enhancement and diversification through simple technological interventions for sustainable development of disaster affected rural landscape of Kedar valley of Uttarakhand’ 

Age Limit: 28 years (for JRF/JPF):- Relaxation for SC/ ST/ Women/PH and OBC as per Govt.of India norms. 

The candidates may appear for walk in interview on 30.05.2018 at 10:00 A.M at G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment & Sustainable Development, Garhwal Unit, Upper Bhaktiyana, Pauri Road Srinagar (Garhwal) 246 174. The candidate appearing for interview should submit an application, bio-data along with relevant document and produce certificates/ testimonials during the interview. No TA/DA will be given to the candidate appearing for the interview.
