Applications are invited for Project assistant Level-I/II (PA I/II) to work in the research project entitled ‘Growth enhancement strategies for the microalgae of economic importance’ (Project No. GAP 2110). The number of positions is tentative and may vary at the time of interview. The details of posts are as following: 

Project Assistant Level I: (1 Post) 

Qualification* B.Sc. in Botany/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology or equivalent (55% aggregate marks) 

Job requirement The selected candidate will have to work on maintenance of the microalgal cultures and the documents, and preparation of culture media for the isolation of microalgae. 

As part of the project work, extensive field work may be required.  

Project Assistant Level II: (1 Post) 

Qualification* M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Microbiology. with 55% (aggregate marks) 

Job requirement The selected candidates will have to work on developing different strategies for the enhancement of microalgal biomass and metabolites production, and performing biochemical analysis. 

As part of the project work, extensive field work may be required. 

Emoluments PA Level I: Rs. 15,000/-per month PA Level II: Rs. 25,000/-per month Age limit* 28 years (For PA Level I) 30 years (For PA Level II) 

 *Relaxation in age / qualification as per CSIR norms. 

All the candidates attending walk-in-interview/written test should bring one set of duly certified copies of all certificates along with originals and 2 passport size photographs along with them. The walk-in-interview/written test will be held on 3rd December, 2019 (Tuesday) at 10.00 AM in CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Waghawadi Road, Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Final year appearing students (M. Sc./B.Sc.) don’t apply and appear. 

The posts are purely temporary for duration of sponsored project only. It would therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidates for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR- CSMCRI,Bhavnagar.
