Application are invited for the position of Senior Research Fellows (SRFs) (two nos) on
purely temporary basis to work in a NASF project entitled “Generation of BMPR-IB gene edited
goats using CRISPR/Cas technology to explore the functional role of BMPR-IB gene on goat
reproduction”
Qualification of the SRF:
A. Essential: Master Degree in relevant subject (Veterinary/Animal Physiology or Biochemistry or Biotechnology or Animal Science subjects) with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years Master’s Degree should have NET Qualification and 2 years of research experience.
B. Desirable: Working knowledge of Molecular Biology Techniques (DNA/RNA isolation, Cloning, Western Blotting, Genomics and or cDNA library screening, ELISA, Real time PCR, Cell culture, Immunohistochemistry, Genome editing etc) evident through dissertation work/research publication
Nature of job: The project is envisaged to demonstrate the functional role of BMPR-IB gene on goat reproduction.
Accordingly the incumbent is expected to carry out a part of the project objectives independently and/ or to assist the scientist and other workers as their need. The incumbent will also be essentially required to collect material and biological samples from animals at odd hours
Emoluments: Rs. 31000+ HRA per month for 1 st & 2 nd yr and Rs. 35,000+ HRA per month for 3rd year Age: Maximum 35 years (age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC & women candidate is as per rule Tenure and condition of the project: -
The position is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis up to October 2022)/ termination of the project whichever is earlier. There is no provision of rearrangement after termination of the project and IVRI and ICAR will have no liability, whatsoever, for this position. PI will have the exclusive right to terminate the SRF due to unsatisfactory performance without assigning any reason.
Selection procedure: The eligible candidate may appear directly in a Walk-in- interview on January 22, 2020 at 11.00AM in Physiology & Climatology Division, IVRI.
