Applications are invited for one (01) purely temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in DBT, Govt. of India
sponsored project entitled " Characterization of DNA structural features and non B DNA structures in regulatory regions
in prokaryotes: an insilico approach " under the Principal Investigator Dr. Aditya Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department
of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT), Tezpur University, Tezpur, Napaam – 784028, Assam.

Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree (M.Sc. / M.Tech) in Bioinformatics / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology /
Computer Science / IT / Physics / Mathematics / Statistics with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate.
Age : Candidate shall not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per
Government of India rules.
Fellowship : Rs. 31,000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand) only + HRA as admissible per month for the 1st two years and Rs.
35,000/- (Rupees thirty five thousand) only + HRA as admissible per month for the 3rd year for SRF and applicable to the
candidate having post graduate degree in Basic Science or graduate degree in professional course with NET/GATE/BET
qualification or post graduate degree in professional course. Rs. 12,000/- (Rupees twelve thousand) only + HRA as
admissible per month for the 1
st two years and Rs. 14,000/- (Rupees fourteen thousand) only + HRA as admissible per
month for the 3
rd year for SRF, for the candidate without NET/GATE/BET qualification. HRA will not be provided if
campus accommodation is availed.
Duration : The appointment will be initially for a period of six (06) months, which may be extended upto One (01) year
or till completion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.
Shortlisted candidates may appear before the interview board with original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets,
certificates from 10th standard onwards, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate (if any),
certificates of NET/GATE/BET or similar examination qualifications, any other testimonials and a copy of recent signed
Curriculum Vitae (CV).
N.B. (1) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
(2) Those in employment or doing Ph.D. must submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer /
Ph.D. Supervisor.
