1. DBT funded project on “Development of prolific babycorn hybrids through marker-assisted introgression of teosinte branched1(tb1) allele from teosinte accession (Zea mays ssp. parviglumis)” 

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Two 

Rs. 31,000 + 24% HRA 

Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Professional Courses viz. Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Botany/ Life Sciences and allied subjects selected through a process described through any one of the following: 
a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. 
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc (as per the DST guidelines vide SR/S9/Z08/2018 dated 30.01.2019) 

Desirable: Research experience in maize breeding and application of molecular markers 

2. DST-SERB funded project entitled “Analyses of genetic variability and validation of candidate genes for folate (vitamin B9) accumulation in maize kernel” 

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) One 

Rs. 31,000 + 24% HRA per month for I & II year; and Rs. 35,000 + 24% HRA for III year 

Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Professional Courses viz. Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Botany/ Life Sciences and allied subjects selected through a process described through any one of the following:
