Applications are invited on a plain paper for the one position of “Junior Research Fellow”
purely on temporary basis for a period of two years in a project titled “Exploring newer diatom
metrics for assessing the integrity of fluvial ecosystem” (File Number: SRG/2020/000432)
sponsored by the Science & Engineering Research Board (S.E.R.B.; A Statutory Body of the
Department of Science & Technology, Government of India), New Delhi.
The tenure of the
fellowship will be co-terminus with the scheme and the stipend payable will be Rs. 31, 000+16
% HRA per month for two years as per SERB rules.
Essential qualifications: The candidates must have M.Sc. in Botany/Plant Science/Life
Sciences/Environmental Sciences/Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Sciences
(with minimum of 55% for general and OBC, and 50% for SC and ST at PG level), and have
qualified NET or GATE.
Desirable qualification: Candidate having research experience (in the form of published papers)
in the area of algal biology will be preferred.
Age Limit: The upper age limit shall be 35 years (relaxable up to 5 years in the case of
candidates belonging to ST/SC/PH/OBC and females.
