Interview for Project Scientist-II, Project Associate-II &
Laboratory Attendant Positions
Title of Project: “Development of small molecule antivirals against Chikungunya
and Japanese Encephalitis Viruses”.
Duration: Initially for 12 months and may be extended after review.
Age Limit: 40 Years
Essential Qualifications: Doctoral Degree in Life Science/Biotechnology; with experience in
Research and Development at Academic Institutions with peer-reviewed publications in
international journals.
Position 1 & 2: Research experience in cell, molecular biology and virology with practical
knowledge of high throughput screening in cultured cells.
Position 3: Research experience and practical knowledge of protein production, purification,
biochemical assays and protein crystallography.
Principal Investigator: Dr. Deepak T. Nair, Professor.
No. of Positions: Three
Emoluments: Rs.83,080/- (Consolidated) per month
Age Limit: 35 Years
Essential Qualifications:
(i) Master’s degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/
Natural Sciences with minimum 60% marks and
(ii) two years' research experience.
Position 1: Research experience and knowledge of virology and molecular biology.
Position 2: Research experience and practical knowledge of protein expression, purification and
high throughput biochemical assays.
Principal Investigator: Dr. Deepak T. Nair, Professor.
No. of Positions: Two
Emoluments: Rs.43,400/- or Rs.34,720/- (Consolidated) per month as per DST OM No. SR/
S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10.07.2020.
3. Laboratory Attendant
Age Limit: 50 Years
Essential Qualifications: Graduate degree in Science with experience of handling support
activities in a research laboratory.
Principal Investigator: Dr. Deepak T. Nair, Professor.
Emoluments: Rs. 22,320/- (Consolidated) per month
