IARI Transgenic Plants SRF/JRF Openings


Applications are invited to attend Online Interview for Unreserved Temporary Posts of two SRFs and one JRF under the ongoing externally project funded by National Agriculture Science Fund, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and DSTSERB, Government of India. Interested Candidates may send their biodata with self attested scanned copies of degree certificates, mark sheets of 10, 12, UG and PG to dpp.mpp2022@gmail.com. The last date for receipt of the Biodata is 25 th January 2024. The candidate should submit no objection certificate from the current employer, if working. The tentative date of online interview is 27 th, January 2024 and any change in the Interview date will be intimated to the selected candidate. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project end date.

Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree in relevant subjects (Plant Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Plant Biochemistry/Life sciences/ Microbiology) with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having Postgraduate degree in basic Sciences with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years masters degree should have NET qualification and 2 years of research experience as mentioned in OM No Edn./6/27/2014/HRD dated 13th July, 2015, OM No Agril. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD 9th October, 2015 of the Council and OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated, 30th January 2019 for eligibility. 

Desirable qualifications: Agrobacterium mediate genetic transformation of rice/soybean/mustard, genome editing of plants, molecular cloning, Molecular analysis of transgenic plants and other basic molecular techniques
