Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (one number) underthe time-bound DST-SERB project entitled “Cryopreservation of in vitro propagated sheep spermatogonial stem cells and transplantation efficiency sheep”. This recruitment is subjected to terms and conditions in force in ICAR for such appointments. There is no provision for absorption/re-employment in ICAR-NIANP/ICAR after the termination of the project. The service of the person, who engaged, will automatically stand terminated with the termination of the project. The appointment is purely on a temporary basis and liable to be terminated at anytime without assigning any reason thereof.

Master’s degree courses in the relevant subject (Animal
Reproduction, Animal Physiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology andBioinformatics) with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degreehaving 1
st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point
average. OR
Master’s degree (3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’sdegree) in the life sciences with NET/GATE qualification.
Preferred subjects: Animal Reproduction, Animal Physiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics.

The selected candidate has to carry out routine adult stemculture work, molecular biology techniques, various bioinformatics and statistical analyses of data, etc. Thus, a candidate having expertise in the above area will be preferred. The proof of experience in the form of research articles/publications need to be submitted.
5 Remuneration Rs. 31,000/- month + 27% HRA for first and second year. Rs. 35,000/- month + 27% HRA for the third year (as per
DST-SERB guidelines). HRA will be provided if no accommodation is provided (as per
DST guidelines)
