Recruitment for the post of “Research Scientist” under an extramural Funded project
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is a premier autonomous
Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for the promotion of
high-quality science education and research in the country.
The institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following positions purely on a
contract basis:
Name of the post Research Scientist
Name of the project
To develop novel antiviral platforms and identify drugs
against henipaviruses such as Nipah virus and Hendra
virus.

Minimum Qualification &
Experience
Essential:
Ph.D in any area of Life Sciences/Medical Sciences with
experience in infectious disease research/protein
chemistry/molecular biology.
At least one first-author publication from PhD in a peerreviewed journal indexed in a public database (PubMed,
SCOPUS etc.,)
Desirable:
Experience in in-vitro assays, mammalian cell culture,
animal models, molecular biology and protein purification.
Monthly emoluments INR 75,000/- (Consolidated)
Age Not more than 35 years on the closing date of the
advertisement.
Tenure The initial offer will be for one year and renewable subject
to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary
and co-terminus with the project.
