CSIR- National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), Lucknow is a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). CSIR-NBRI undertakes basic and applied research in important areas of plant sciences. 

Eligible & interested candidates are invited for interview for the purely temporary positions in the following areas under the sponsored projects tenable at CSIR-NBRI : 

Area – I : Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry and Product Development : 

1. Project Associate-I (PAT-I) 

Masters in Medical Laboratory Technology / B.Pharma Proficient in blood collection, handling and record keeping 

35 years 

Rs. 30,000/- p.m. consolidated* 

CSIR Health Cohort Knowledgebase (HCP047) 01 
* As per sanction in the project. 

Area – II : Molecular Biology & Biotechnology : 

1. Project Associate-I (PAT-I) 

M.Sc. /Integrated M.Sc. in Botany / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Bioinformatics / Life Sciences or B.Tech. in Computer Science from recognized University 

Experience in molecular biology / tissue culture techniques. 

35 years 

(a) 31,000/- p.m. + HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIRUGC/ICAR/ICMR NET incl. lectureship / assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/ Institutions. (b) 25,000/-+HRA for others who do not fall under above (a) 

The Role of Calcium / Calmodulin (CaM)- Binding Transcription Activator (CAMTA) in Fiber Development in Cotton (GAP-3540)  

2. Project Assistant-II (PA-II) 

B.Sc. / 3 years Diploma in Engineering / Technology Experience in Molecular Biology / tissue culture techniques 

35 years 

Rs. 20000/- + HRA per month 

The Role of Calcium / Calmodulin (CaM)- Binding Transcription Activator (CAMTA) in Fiber Development in Cotton (GAP-3540) 

3. Project Associate-II (PAT-II) 

M.Sc./Integrated M.Sc. in Botany / Zoology / Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / B.Tech. Biotechnology / Bioinformatics from recognized University alongwith 02 years R&D experience. OR M.Tech. / Integrated M.Tech. in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics. 

Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in molecular biology / protein biology / nanotechnology based pest management / bioinformatics (Genomics, proteomics and trancriptomics) 

35 years (a) 

35,000/- p.m. + HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIRUGC/ICAR/ICM R NET incl. lectureship / assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/ Institutions. (b) 28,000/-+HRA for others who do not fall under above (a) Development of next generation transgenic cotton for broadspectrum resistance to field pests of yield protection (HCP-0023) 

4. Project Associate-I (PAT-I) 

M.Sc./Integrated M.Sc. in Botany / Zoology / Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / B.Tech. Biotechnology from recognized University 

35 years

Project Scientist-II 

(i) Doctoral Degree in Science or Master's Degree in Engineering or technology from a recognized University or equivalent

40 years 

Rs.67000/- + HRA 

7. Project Scientist-I 

Doctoral Degree in Science or Master's Degree in Engineering or technology from a recognized University or equivalent. 
(ii) 04 years' experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T Organizations and Scientific Activities & services. Research Experience in plant molecular biology, small RNAs (microRNAs) / transcription factors as evident by research publications. 

35 years 

Rs.56000/- + HRA

Project Scientist-II (i) 

Doctoral Degree in Science or Master's Degree in Engineering or technology from a recognized University or equivalent (ii) 05 years' experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T Organizations and Scientific Activities & services.
