Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Biotechnology
Research Innovation Council (BRIC), an organization of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry
of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from the Indian Nationals to join
the following position sanctioned under ICMR-funded project.
Project Title: ICMR Project “Creation of a national network of existing and upcoming high
risk pathogens laboratories (BSL-3/4) labs across departments and keeping their
'interlinkages' functional for use during outbreak response across sectors" under NOHM
component of PM-ABHIM"”
Duration of the Project: 1 year and subjected to renewal annually
Project Investigator: Dr. Gulam H Syed
Position: Project Technical Support -II (01 Position)
Remuneration: Rs. 20,000 + HRA per month
Age Limit: 30 years on last date of application. Age relaxation will be given as per the rules of
Govt. of India.
Eligibility: Candidates with 12th Science with Diploma/Degree in MLT/DMLT or Equivalent plus 5
years’ experience in Virology/Microbiology/Disease-Surveillance/ Molecular Diagnosis & Clinical
Laboratory Investigations.
Experience of working in Biosafety Level 3 lab is also desirable.
Or
B.Sc. degree in Life Sciences or other allied subjects with two years’ work experience in
Virology/Microbiology/Disease-Surveillance/Molecular Diagnosis & Clinical Laboratory
Investigations.
Experience of working in Biosafety Level 3 lab is also desirable.
All the positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
No TA/DA will be paid for
attending the interview.
The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be
final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

Date & time of walk-in interview: 8th April 2025, 10.30 am onwards
Candidates should report for the interview on or before 10 am
Candidates should bring relevant original certificates for verification of their
eligibility and experience
