We are inviting applications for ONE Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in a CSIR-ASPIRE funded project at the Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Maharashtra, Mumbai.

🌱 Project Title:
Development of Pythium soft rot resistant (PSR) ginger cultivars through in-vitro mutagenesis and assessment of genetic fidelity by SCoT markers

Principal Investigator:
Dr. Pallavi Vyas
Assistant Professor, Amity Institute of Biotechnology

Co-Investigator:
Dr. Narendra Kadoo
Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-NCL, Pune

📍 Location: Amity University Maharashtra, Panvel (Mumbai)
📌 No. of Positions: One
🕒 Tenure: Initially 1 year, extendable up to 3 years
💰 Fellowship: ₹37,000 + HRA (Year 1–2); ₹42,000 + HRA (Year 3)

🎓 Eligibility:
• BS 4-year program / BPharm / MBBS / Integrated BS-MS / MSc in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Botany or related fields with ≥55% marks
• NET/GATE qualification (Life Sciences domain) is mandatory

💡 Desirable Skills:
• Plant tissue culture, in-vitro mutagenesis, microbial isolation, DNA extraction & analysis
• Experience with software/tools like POPGENE, Arlequin, GenAlEx, XLSTAT, SPSS, SigmaPlot etc.

🔞 Age Limit: Max 28 years (relaxation as per Govt. norms)
