A Walk-in-Interview will be held on 15th December, 2025 at 11.00 a.m. at the Seminar room of the Department of Biological Sciences, Unified Academic Campus of Bose Institute, Block-EN, Plot No-80, Sector-V, Salt Lake City, Kolkata 700 091 for one (01) temporary position of Research Associate-I for the ANRF sponsored Project under JC Bose Grant entitled “Identification of novel genome stability factors and potential antifungal drug targets in WHO-listed priority fungal pathogens” under the guidance of Prof. Kaustuv Sanyal, Department of Biological Sciences. The project is tenable upto 31-Oct-2030. The engagement will be given for six months initially with a possibility of extension based on a review of performance in every six months and the availability of fund. 

Details of essential qualifications, age and emoluments are as follows :

Essential Qualification Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal 

Rs.58,000/- p.m. plus 30% HRA 

Desirable qualification : Ph.D degree with experience in Yeast Genetics / Molecular Biology with at least one publication in a peer reviewed journal as the first author.

Job description : The selected candidate should be willing to work on human pathogenic yeast following the lab safety protocols.

The project is tenable upto 20-05-2027. Initially, the engagement will be given for six months with a possibility of extension based on a review of performance in every six months and the availability of fund. 

Details of essential qualifications, age and emoluments are as follows :

Essential Qualification 

(i) Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and 
(ii) Two years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services 

35,000/- + 24% HRA

Desirable Qualification: Thorough knowledge of Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics and Genomic studies. Experience in Plant Molecular Biology research. Excellent ability in communication and writing in English.
