Walk-in interview for the post of “Technical Officer-II” under
an extramural-funded project
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati is a premier autonomous
Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for promotion of
high-quality science education and research in the country.
The institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position purely on a
contract basis:
Name of the post Technical Officer - II
Name of the project To develop novel antiviral platforms and identify drugs against
henipaviruses such as Nipah virus and Hendra virus.

Minimum
Qualification &
Experience
Essential:
Four years Bachelor's Degree in Natural or Agricultural
Sciences / Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences
/ BVSc or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering/
Biotechnology or Medicine from a recognized University or
equivalent and four years’ experience in R&D in industrial and
academic institutions or S&T organizations and scientific
activities and services.
OR
Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering/M.Tech
Biotechnology from a recognized university or equivalent and
two years’ experience in R&D in industrial and academic
institutions or S&T organizations and scientific activities and
services.
OR
Doctoral Degree in Biological/Natural/Life Sciences from a
recognized University or equivalent with at least one first
author peer-reviewed research publication from the doctoral
research work.
Desirable:
Experience in mammalian cell culture, virus research, protein
expression and purification, molecular biology techniques.
Monthly Emoluments INR 57,000/- + 9% HRA
Age Not more than 50 years on the closing date of the
advertisement.
Tenure
The initial offer will be for six months and renewable subject
to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and
co-terminus with the project.
