Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the project position as per the details given below for the research project under the Principal Investigator, Prof. Shailly Tomar, Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

  1. Title of Project: Molecular studies of pharmacologically active antiviral molecules in Gau mutra distillate and drug extract against Chikungunya and Dengue

  2. Sponsor of the Project: Ministry of Ayush, Research & Innovation in Ayush AYURGYAN SCHEME, New Delhi

  3. Project Position(s) and Number: Research Associate II (RA-II), 1 position

  4. Qualifications: PhD in Biosciences and Bioengineering, Virology, Microbiology or related subject with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

  5. Emoluments: Rs. 61,000 + 9% HRA

  6. Duration: 12 months

  7. Job Description: Molecular biology, cloning, expression, basics of molecular virology, cDNA preparation, RT-PCR, mammalian cell culture, in vitro cell-based assays related to virus propagation and quantification, protein production and purification.

    • Attested copies of degrees/certificates and experience certificates.

  • Candidates shall bring along with them the original degree(s)/certificate(s) and experience certificate(s) at the time of the interview for verification.

  • Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates with equal qualifications and experience.

  • Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
