Walk-in-Interview for Project Associate-I on 01.10.2026 from 10.00 a.m. onwards
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one
Project Associate-I in the BMGF-funded project entitled: "Development of climate resilient Chickpea
and Brassica" under the supervision of Dr. Shiv Meena, Scientist, NIPGR.
Project Associate-I (one post):
Emoluments: As per guidelines prescribed in the below mentioned OM of DST.
Qualification: Candidates having a Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ MVSc or a
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized University or
equivalent and fulfilling the guidelines of DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated
July 10, 2020 are eligible to apply.
Experience: Hands-on experience in cold-stress biology of plants, including multiplex cloning (e.g.,
Green Gate/Golden Gate-based systems), cold-stress-responsive gene expression analysis, CRISPR=
Cas9/Cas12- mediated genome editing, cold-stress phenotyping, and genotyping will be preferred.
Upper age limit- 35 Years.
This position is purely temporary, initially till the tenability of project i.e. upto July 31st 2027.
The
appointment may be curtailed based on the candidate’s performance and the discretion of the
competent authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the most suitable candidate based on
qualifications and experience. Reservation of posts shall be as per Government of India norms. The
position may be terminated at any time with one month's notice by either party.

(NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on 01.10.2026 at 10:30 a.m. onwards along with
the duly filled in application form in the prescribed format. The duly filled application form along with
self-attested copies of the date of birth, educational & experience certificates must be submitted at the
time of registration at NIPGR from 09:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the day of interview. Any candidate
reporting after 10:30 a.m. will not be entertained for walk-in interview.
The candidates must ascertain
eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All the candidates are
requested to appear for the interview with complete bio-data in given format and original
degree/experience certificates and transcripts for verification. Canvassing in any form or bringing
influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s). Note: Incomplete
application and those in the wrong format will be summarily rejected.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview
