Supercomputing Facility for Bioinformatics & Computational Biology (SCFBIO)

SCFBIO, IIT Delhi intends to start training Programmes in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from 10 August, 2010 onwards.

1) Topics for the training Programme are proposed to be covered with hands–on  training in the following four modules:–

1. 
   
   Genome analysis
2. 
   
   Protein Folding
3. 
   
   Drug Design
4. 
   
   High performance computing in Bioinformatics.

2) Duration of Training:-

The training programme for each module is proposed to be conducted for two days, and the entire set of modules mentioned above will be completed in a week's time(from 9 am to 5 pm everyday) from August onwards. Participants can opt for any number of modules.

Following are the tentative schedule for the batches

• 
  
  1^st batch: 10^thAug, 2010 to 16^thAug, 2010
• 
  
  2^nd batch: 17^thAug, 2010 to 23^rdAug, 2010
• 
  
  3^rd batch: 25^thAug, 2010 to 31^stAug, 2010
• 
  
  4^th batch: 3^rd Sep, 2010 to 9^th Sep, 2010
• 
  
  5^th batch: 14^thSep, 2010 to 20^th Sep, 2010

3) Eligibility :-

B.Sc/B.Tech./M.Sc./M.Tech./Ph.D Students and professionals from Biotech and Pharma industries. 

4) Maximum no of students :- 25 per batch

5) Fee :- Rs 2500 per module. (Rs 6500/- for three or more modules)

Registrants will be awarded certificates at the end of successful completion of each module.
