Job Description
- Executing the breeding strategies developed within the cotton breeding unit of Bioscience India with respect to breeding for new line development and hybrid evaluation and selection for the superior products to competition for central India ecology.
- Planning the experiments in the Breeding station and farmers field trials for product testing to identify the best products for the geography.
- Co-ordinating and managing the zone hybrid testing team to evaluate the hybrid products across states in central India in different agro-ecological areas
- Administrating the facilities of location and site management for the farm and office in the place
- Regulatory, QHSE and Stewardship compliance development and implementation for the trait related activities in breeding for the region within the hybrid testing team of Bioscience, Germplasm and information security
Key Skills:
- M.Sc. in Plant Breeding / Genetics, with minimum of 7 years of experience in breeding
- Good cotton breeding knowledge and innovativeness to develop and select new lines and hybrids
- Updated knowledge of market trends for new products in market and competitive landscape mapping
- Excellent knowledge of hybrid breeding procedures and evaluation in their respective trials
Good knowledge of computer applications, experimental designs, data recording and data analysis
- Good communication skills
- Managerial skills to lead the team with knowledge in budgeting.
