A Walk-in-Interview will be held on 12th September 2018 (Wednesday) at 10.30 A.M in the Department of
Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT), Tezpur University for one (01) temporary position of Junior
Research Fellow (JRF) in the DBT-Twinning project entitled “Understanding the role of adipose tissue
remodeling in exercise induced insulin sensitivity” under Dr. Suman Dasgupta, Principal Investigator,
Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT), Tezpur University, Assam.
Interested candidates, highly motivated for a research career, are advised to send the advance copy of their application
to the Principal Investigator, Dr. Suman Dasgupta, Department of MBBT, Tezpur University, Assam, through email
(suman.dsut@gmail.com) within 10th September, 2018 and/or may appear before the interview board along with all
original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, testimonials, caste
certificate (if applicable), experience certificate (if any), certificate of NET/GATE/BET/BINC, any other
testimonials, a copy of recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) and two recent passport size photographs on the day of
interview.
Qualifications: M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized University with minimum 60% or equivalent
CGPA in aggregate with NET/GATE/BET/BINC.
Desirable: Candidates having research experience in cellular and molecular biology as evident from published
paper(s) will be given preference.
Age: Candidate shall not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed as
per Government of India rules.
Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month for the 1st and 2nd
year and Rs. 28,000/- (Rupees twenty eight thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month for the 3rd year.
Duration: Three (03) years or till completion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.
Note :
(1) No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
(2) Those in employment or doing Ph.D. must submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer
/ Ph.D. Supervisor.
