COURSE OBJECTIVE
Bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary field which requires knowledge of mathematics, computer science, and statistical methods for the understanding of molecular level biological phenomenon.
The motivation of this online hands on workshop is to impart the knowledge of the current updated bioinformatics research, tools, softwares, along with the applications of bioinformatics in the field of medicine
TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience of the workshop are faculty, students (Graduates, Post Graduates, Ph.D.), and PIs working in, interested in, or about to embark on using bioinformatics applications in their research. The workshop is available for participants of all levels, including those that do not have coding experience. During the workshop, expert bioinformaticians will be providing advice and hands-on assistance with bioinformatics workflows and datasets.
Participants will be provided with an introduction to basic concepts in using popular tools and techniques in bioinformatics, along with end-to-end hands-on training.
PREREQUISITES: The participants will require their own laptop or computer.
