Remuneration (Per month)* Consolidated Rs. 50,000/-pm (This post is purely contractual basis for a period 11 months) 

Job Profile* 
 To help in conduct of laboratory, pot and field scale trial on sugarcane at VSI and outside 
 To record field observations as per schedule. 
 To perform microbial analysis of soil and plant samples. 
 To conduct the analysis of the formulations. 
 To develop method to standardize biochemical methods for abiotic stress 
 To develop high throughput bioanalytical method using HPLC, FTAIR, LCMS, GCMS, NMR, X-raycrystallography 
 Preparation of master cultures, mother cultures, liquid broths and mass production of biofertilizers, biofungicides, biopesticides,and decomposing cultures as per FCO standards. 
 Preparation of media and inoculums of respective microbial cultures as per requirement. 
 To prepare consortium of biofertilizers, biofungicides, biopesticides,and decomposing cultures as per demand. 
 Maintenance of pure, authentic isolated microbial cultures. 
 To formulate the final products by adding cell protectant, pH maintainer to increase shelf life and to maintain microbial count as per FCO. 
 Research related to Production of Liquid biofertilizers / biopesticide. 
 To Prepare monthly& yearly stock reports of production and supply of LBF. 
 To maintain monthly and yearly records of loose goods and finished goods. 
 Reconciliation of income and expenditure of Production unit. 
 To prepare quotations for supply of VSI’s input. 
 To analyze batch wise samples of loose and finished products for quality control.

Qualification* M. Sc. in Microbiology/Agricultural Microbiology. Candidate with Ph.D having good expertise will be preferred 

Experience* Minimum 5 years’ experience in the desired field. Ref. No. 20.12.2025 

Location* Generally by default is ‘Pune’ and ‘Anywhere in India’ 

Terms & Conditions* 

 This post is purely temporary on contractual basis for a period of 11 months. 
 Age Limit not more than 45 years. 
 For Candidate with exceptionally high qualification/merits higher pay may be considered the selection committee.
